Our one day Petra Tour from Tel Aviv/Jerusalem will take you on a visit a famous archaeological site in Jordan's southwestern desert. Just recently, a massive monument was discovered hiding underneath what is now declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. The monument is twice as wide as an Olympic-sized swimming pool and excavation is on its way. 08:30-09:00 - Arrive in Eilat and transfer to the Arava Border and border Crossing with the help of our professional crew.
Border passing includes: border control and customs.

10:15 - Transfer by road from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to Eilat through the Negev Desert in our newest model air-conditioned vehicles. Transfer from the border to Petra Transport takes approximately 2 hours, passing through a vast and comfortable highway (the "desert way"), following through a scenic route on the mountain side along the Jordanian desert, and arriving at Petra's historical site, known as one of the Seven Wonders Of The World.
12:15 - The Petra tour begins at the entrance to the site - fully guided tour of the lost city of Petra including the Siq, Obelisk Tomb, Calligraphy, Treasury and theTheater. Experience a guided tour of the site starting with an optional short horse ride for the first 200 meters of the route. The ride allows you to taste the unique atmosphere of the place (tipping the carrier is required, ranging from $2-$5 at your discretion).
16:15 - Enjoy an authentic local restaurant lunch.
We recommend having a snack before entering Petra site as sometimes lunch gets late
17:00 - We begin our south Drive back trip towards Aqaba. This route includes a short stop at Wadi Rum and enjoy the opportunity to observe the beautiful landscape.
18:30 - Arriving in Aqaba for a short panoramic tour of the city.(if time permits)
19:00 - Arrival to the border and return to Israeli territory with the assistance of our crew.
We then start heading back to our primary destination in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
