Yad Vashem Opens First International Education Center in Munich
Great news for travelers interested in Jewish history and Holocaust education – Yad Vashem is breaking new ground by opening its first educational center outside of Israel, and they’re doing it in Munich, Germany.
This historic development means you’ll now have two ways to engage with Yad Vashem’s world-renowned Holocaust education programs. While the main memorial and museum remain must-visit destinations during your Israel trip, this Munich center will offer additional educational resources and programs.
For many travelers, visiting Yad Vashem in Jerusalem is already a powerful highlight of their Israel experience. The memorial’s moving exhibits, the Hall of Remembrance, and the Children’s Memorial create an unforgettable journey through history. Now, with this international expansion, Yad Vashem is extending its educational mission beyond Israel’s borders.
Planning your Israel itinerary? We recommend allowing at least 3-4 hours for Yad Vashem in Jerusalem. The memorial is free to visit, though advance booking is recommended for groups. It’s easily accessible by Jerusalem’s light rail and makes for a meaningful addition to any Jerusalem day tour.
