Holiday Festival in Haifa: What Visitors Need to Know

Great news for travelers planning to visit Haifa during the upcoming Holiday Festival of Holidays – but here’s what you need to know about getting around. The popular German Colony and Wadi Nisnas neighborhoods will experience heavy traffic and some road closures during the festival weekends.

If you’re staying in or planning to visit these historic areas (home to some of Haifa’s best restaurants and cultural sites), the local police are recommending visitors use public transportation instead of taxis or rental cars. This is actually great advice even without the festival – Haifa’s public transport system is excellent and much easier than navigating the narrow streets of these charming neighborhoods.
